Taisley loves to stare at her dad's hair when he's talking to her! Taiton can always make Taisley laugh and he gives her lots of soft kisses throughout the day. We're so happy she's in our family!

Taisley 3 weeks old

Taisley was breech and my doctor did not know until after he broke my water! I went through 8 hours of hard labor and then I ended up having to get a C-section. I have to say I was pretty frustrated with my doctor the whole month before I had her. And very frustrated with him when I was in labor! He just has some different ideas about pregnancy and I don't agree with them! But lucky my little girl made it here safely and she is very healthy! She's been a great baby, growing everyday.

Well I finally found my camera cord! I had almost given up on this blogging thing.

I graduated Cosmetology School July 2nd! It's so nice to have a life again! I love being at home with Taiton! And I can't wait to start working a couple days a week once the baby comes.

We are down to the final count down. I'm 36 weeks Friday and I'm REALLY hoping for an EARLY baby!! I'm so uncomfortable and I feel like she is HUGE and killing my insides when I lay down. We still don't have a name!!! Eesh! I hate picking names! I have a feeling we're just going to end up picking something we've kind of liked in the past. I'm starting to get super emotional! My body thinks it needs to cry 2x a week! And I mean hard core balling my eyes out! I don't remember being this miserable with Taiton. But this pregnancy has gone by really fast so that's good. I just can't wait for it to be over with.

Taiton is getting so big! You can finally understand what he's saying, most of the time. He likes to pee on the toilet. But only about once a day. He loves animals! Mostly sharks, fishes, puppies bears and dragons. And he's usually pretending to be one of them during the day.
Some of his funny sayings:
"Oh come on!"
"Oh man!"
Sometimes when i ask him to do something " I can't mom, I can't"
He loves to call everyone horse or cow.
"Thanks horse"
He might be slowing coming out of his terrible 2's. He's still pretty horrible in public and we do quite a few time outs at home. But he's getting a lot better at obeying and listening to us. I was actually able to take him to the store by myself yesterday and only had to discipline him once and then he did really good. We still can't take him to sit down restaurants! We tried again last Friday, we went out with Ryan's parents, and Ryan and I had to take turns sitting in the car with him.

We've just about got everything ready for the baby. Only a couple more items to get. We're so grateful to Ryan's brother and sister-in-law! They gave us all their baby girl clothing plus bedding! It has been a huge help!
Well i'm sure I won't post again till the little girl arrives, so everyone look forward to that!

It's a GIRL! Can you believe it, we're actually getting a girl!

This little girl already moves way more than Taiton every did! She is also really low, so I only feel her moving around my waist line, which makes some people mad because then it's a little inappropriate for them to feel her.

Our camera cord is still lost, so I can't put any pics up yet. Taiton got a new car bed! He loves it, he doesn't like to get out of it in the morning. The first morning he woke up in it, he stayed laying down and said "I sleeping mom"
Taiton loves to go look at the "animals" after school. Mckee's petting zoo has lots of animals he likes. His favorite thing is to play outside! I'm soo grateful we put a fence up last year! I can just open the kitchen door and let him go wild!
Ryan will be done with this semester in a couple of weeks, and we can't wait for a summer break for him! He's such an entrepreneur , he already has a business he's scheming up for summer. So, he'll still be keeping us busy. He's very nervous about having a GIRL! He says he doesn't know what he's going to do, and he's NOT looking forward to the teen years!
I'll be done with school forever in JUNE! I can't wait! I'm ready to be out there making some money! My class went on salon tours today and i'm so glad ISU does that! We got to see many different types of salons and get a feel for what we might want to do. I'll be working in Pocatello and we went to a salon today that I'd really like to work at!
We've started collecting clothes for the baby! And it's so weird that they are pink clothes! I have some great woman in my ward who thought of me and gave me lots of little girl clothes! I'm so grateful for my ward! I don't do much with the other mothers right now, but they are always so kind to me. Hopefully once I'm out of school I can get to know more women in the ward.

Yes, that's right, we're having another baby! After trying for 8 months, we're finally pregnant! This baby is due Sept. 3rd and we can't wait!

Sorry I haven't had any new posts, but we lost the cord to connect our camera to the computer. :( Sad. Hopefully we'll find it soon and get some pictures up.

We had a great Christmas! We got Taiton a puppy, Odin, which I am still trying to like. I'm not sure it's going to happen. It IS cute though, when Taiton cuddles him and they play nice together. Most of the time it consists of Taiton teasing the dog and then the dog nibbling on him. They are fighting about 60% of the time.

I got Ryan a weekend of snowboarding in Jackson Hole for Christmas. And he had a fantastic time! He was a little out of shape, though. When he used to go snowboarding he would never stop for lunch. But he said he looked forward to lunch to give him a break! He's just getting too OLD!

Ryan and I are in our Spring semester of school, which is also my LAST semester! Ryan isn't taking any online classes this semester and I think we like it better. Not as many hours of homework! I'm trying to get all my hours done for school so I can graduate. But it's a little hard when Taiton keeps getting sick! I missed all of last week due to him getting Croup. Poor little guy! Hopefully he's getting all of his sicknesses out right now!

Other than that, we're just plugging along in our little busy lives. Hopefully it will slow down once I graduate. But it probably won't till Ryan graduates in like 4 YEARS! But this is what life is all about right? Stay tuned, I'm always looking for that cord and some day I'll find it!

We went to the Aquarium and to Temple square. It was so nice to get away!

It's been a long time...

It's been so long and we've been SO busy. In September I decided I wanted to go back to hair school and get my license. I'm at ISU's program, which is a different school than the first one I went to. And I love it!!! I'm soo glad I went back. Ryan calls my school a party, and it pretty much is, I have a great time there everyday. Taiton goes to the ISU daycare 4 days a week. And he absolutely LOVES it! He has become so independent. The daycare there is so awesome. They tell me exactly and how much Taiton eats everyday, what activities they did, and how long his nap was.
August time is Ryan time. It was his 27th birthday this year! I made (wink wink) this awesome soccer cake for him!

Taiton and I are soo grateful to have such a wonderful man in our lives. He works so extremely hard for us and we are so thankful he cares that much for us. We love you Ryan!

This year was Taiton's first year to ride the rides at the fair. I was so excited for him to get to experience this. We found out he only liked the cars and marry-go-round. He was so happy "driving" those cars. He would turn the wheel all around and smile so big. Ryan and I were so ridiculous on his first car ride. We were so gidding that he liked it so much, we were being so loud laughing and saying "look at him, he loves it!"

After I made the first pile of leaves I showed Taiton what to do with them. He loves trudging through it.

Taiton was a cute lion for Halloween! I tried getting him used to the costume all week so that he would wear it on Saturday. And he screamed every time I put it on him. And he definitely wouldn't wear the hat. But when Saturday came, he wore the whole outfit happily. I guess he knew when the real show was.

So I had to show everyone this picture, this is what happens when I put fruit in the bowl on the table...ALL the fruit gets sampled by Taiton.

Taiton was being such a cheese ball one day at lunch.
So last Wednesday Taiton woke up from a nap with a 103.1 degree temp., so I hurried and took him to the urgent care. The doctor thought he had pneumonia so she gave him an antibiotic shot, we got chest x-rays and went to the hospital to get his blood drawn. The x- rays came back ok, and the blood work was fine. So the next day we went in for the checkup, the doctor thought the rattle in his chest got worse, so she sent us to the hospital to admit Taiton. I knew we were in for a rough ride, a 20 month old having to be confined to a room, and maybe even an IV? So we got to the hospital, they took us to get more x-rays, then we had to strap him down and get his blood again, he got swabbed for RSV, and then they tried in 3 different places to get his IV in. He was so scared of his bed because that's where we would always hold him down. I felt so bad. The next morning he was doing so much better so we got to go home at 9:00 AM! Thank goodness, i just wanted to get out of there! They sent us home with a machine to give him breathing treatments. We've only had to do it once, so he's doing really well now.

And here is the HOUSE! We love being here and being home owners. It' s just a cute little old house. It was built in the 50's and we are only the 2nd owners! The people who built it have taken such good care of it!

Do you see my hedge work? Those bushes were sooo over grown by the time we got in it.

Here is pretty much our only really put together room, the living room.

Before we moved all the way in, Ryan and I tore up all the carpet and re finished the hard wood floors upstairs and painted.

I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret......finishing hardwood floors is not fun! But it's worth it!

We have enjoyed this house and all the work that come with it!

Relay 4 Life & Fishing

A few weeks ago the salon I work at, Shapers, participated in Relay 4 Life. It was great, we walked for people who have cancer or have died for cancer. I walked for my Grandpa Thomas who died about 9 years ago from colon cancer.

This is my boss Devon. We had someone spray paint our cape.
Ryan bought a fishing boat last Friday. Which I wasn't too thrilled about at first. But he took me out on it on Saturday and I had a lot a fun. I even caught my first fish.

Me, Taiton, & Mason. It was a little challenging with Taiton, he kept wanting to get in the water. We were out there for about 5 hours and all and all he did pretty good.

Fourth of July weekend

Taiton really liked the fire works! I was a little nervous he wouldn't, but he did! He would say "ooo" When ever they went off.

Girl Cousins

My brother Rob just graduated for BYU and took his wife on a CRUISE! So I got to watch my nieces for a few days. I was so excited for them to come! I knew Taiton would have so much fun with them. We went to the park every day. And it was pretty challenging at times (in public) to have 2 kids the same age. Good thing Liberty is such a good listener! She would do everything I told her to, and I only had to worry about Taiton running away from me.

Out of Bed

I don't know how many of you Mothers out there do this, but I do it quite often. What am I talking about? Every once in awhile I dream that Taiton is in bed with me and Ryan and I sit up in my sleep and start searching the bed for him in a panic. And then Ryan always says, "Steph what are you doing?" And then he reminds me, Taiton is NOT in bed with us. Well last night I had a little something different happen. I dreamed that Taiton was falling head first over the edge of the bed and I dove to save him. And when I hit the floor (and I mean the actual bedroom floor) I woke right up. I had jumped right out of bed and landed on my knees, and to make it worse I hurt my foot. I must have hit it on our bed frame because I have a long bruise on the top of my foot. (And it hurts pretty bad, it's right where my flip-flop strap goes) I just hope I don't get up and move around that extreme again. Can you imagine how dangerous it would be if I started walking around in my sleep?!?!?

The other night before bed, Ryan and I went into Taiton's room to make sure his covers were on him. And as soon as I got to his crib he shot up to his knees and had a huge smile on his face and was swaying around (probably because he was half asleep) So I ran to get the camera. And we kept saying "Taiton" and every time we'd say his name he'd open his eyes and give us a huge smile. Unfortunately the camera kept blinding him so I never got a picture with his eyes open. OH but he was so silly!!!

A whole week in Twin

This last week Ryan had some business in Twin Falls and we all went down and stayed with my parents. It really didn't seem like we were there that long....which is a good thing. Usually I'm ready for my own space by the end when we go down for just the weekend. Saturday my grandma, mom, Taiton, and I went and walked along the canyon.

On both sides of the canyon are golf courses. They look so pretty in the summer when the grass is all green. This picture shows the Blue Lakes Country Club course, and the lake is Bass Lake. It's a fun little place to go swimming.

This is the jump that Evil Knievel plunged from. My mom's house growing up was about 1 mile behind it. She watched him jump from her back deck!

My grandma just got back from being in Hawaii for 3 months, so she thought the weather was REALLY cold. But my mom and I were enjoying the SUN!!

Last Saturday Ryan, Taiton, and I thought we'd go for a picnic up on Scout Mountain. Well....I'll make a long story short. Ryan wanted to find out where the road ended, since he had never followed it all the way. After an hour and a half of driving we found out it took us in a big circle to the other side of Pocatello. We had yet to stop for lunch so Ryan pulled over in a field and just when I was getting Taiton out he threw up!!! All over the place!! He was car sick! It was horrible. Luckily his car seat had an extra covering on it so I was able to take it off but there was throw up in all the little cracks of the buckles and on the straps....it was horrible. And all we had for Taiton was his coat. So he wasn't even able to get out and play. But..... I guess that's just one more memory we were able to make. We'll have to try that one again.

Do all little boys get hot in there sleep? I know mine sure does. Taiton never sleeps with the covers on him. Whenever I go in to check on him I put the covers on him and almost every time he takes them off immediately. Even when the humidifier is on in his room (which makes the room quite chilly) he will always take his covers off.

Ever since Taiton's birthday he has been getting sickness after sickness. He has had 3 ear infections, the flu, colds, and croup. He has literally only been well for maybe 2 weeks since his birthday in December! I just wonder if it will ever end!!

Utah adventures

Wednesday night Ryan treated me and his parents to a Jazz game. We had a lot of fun, none of us (besides Ryan) had ever sat that close so it was pretty fun. The Jazz played the Rockets that night and it was really crazy to see Yao Ming in person...he is so huge!! Before the game we went to Benihana's, it was delicious as usual.
After the game was when all the action happened though. As we left the arena it was slushing (snowing/raining) we get in the car, the windows are all fogged up so we can't really see what's happening. But that doesn't stop Brent (Ryan's dad). He backs out and heads towards the exit and within a matter of seconds we were high centered! That's right.....Brent drove over a 3 foot drop!!! We got out and there was nothing we could...I thought we were going to have to get a tow truck for sure. But luckily a guy in a jeep pulled up and towed us right out. Thank goodness for nice people! And thank goodness for father-in-laws who keep things interesting!!!

Brian Regan's show was awesome! And lots of fun. After the show we went to get Taiton then we went to get something to eat...and of course the only thing open in Blackfoot after 11:00 P.M. is McDonalds. But as we pulled up we see Brian's bus in the parking lot. So we go inside hoping he's there....but he's not. So after we get our food we notice two girls in the parking lot standing around his bus. So we go over and talk to them and I ran up to the bus to try and get a picture but there was only a small opening through the blinds so I really didn't get anything. Then Ryan and I decided...well lets just go. As we pull out and are headed towards the freeway I look and Brian Regan is stepping out of the bus! So Ryan flips a U, we pull up and all I can say is "you're so funny...you had a great show!!!" Ryan of course being the cool and confident guy that he is....actually makes Brian Regan laugh!! Brian Regan....who makes thousands of people laugh.....and Ryan made HIM laugh!!! Who would you say is really the entertainer?

I guess this was Ryan's year for Valentine's day. I got a call in January from Ryan telling me he got us tickets to Brian Regan. Which I was happy with. Come to find out when Valentine's day rolls around.....the tickets are both of "our" presents. How thoughtful honey! Well anyways, I really am excited to go see him tomorrow night! It's going to be a lot of fun and he's performing in Blackfoot of all places!! I'll let you know how it goes.

The weather has been fairly nice lately so I have been taking Taiton outside to walk around. It's the first time since he has been able to walk and the snow has melted that he's been able to walk outside and be "free". He loves it so much. Now every time we go to get in the car, he fights to get out of my arms and walk around.

This afternoon.......... he discovered the street. Oh how this will be challenging!! All he wants to do is walk in the street!!!

Things are looking up!

So finally after Taiton had been getting fevers all weekend I took him to the doctor on Monday. And it turns out he has an ear infection. Now that he has antibiotics in him, he is starting to feel better. He's walking around the house and playing again!

Today Taiton was watching Little Einsteins on TV. And I don't know if any of you have seen this show or not. But when the little kids want their ship to go faster they slap their hands on their legs and encourage the kids at home to do it. And I caught Taiton clapping his hands together following them!! It was so cute. Then the kids said, "Raise your hands in the air." And....he did it! It's so exciting to see Taiton develop mentally.
Taiton usually doesn't ever say words. Even though he can said Mom, Dad and go, but he never says them, he just speaks gibberish. But last night he was playing peek-a-boo with us and HE would be the one to say Boo..it was cute. And he's been saying Dad to Ryan. It's so fun to see him learning. I can't believe how big he's getting.

It may not look like he is feeling better....but he is.

Sickness!!

It all started New Year's Eve around 5:00 P.M. when Taiton threw up all over my leg, all over himself, and all over the couch. And to make it even better it was chunky curdled milk. Gross I know. But after that he acted fine and even entertained all of our guess that night. New Years day...fine again. But that night (last night) he got up at midnight, dad let him play around while I was in the bath. Then I put him back to bed and he cried off and on for probably a half hour to an hour. Then starting at three he woke up and I tried putting him back to sleep, gave him a bottle, but after that was finished he kept crying so I moved him to the couch and tried to sleep with him, but he would cry every 30 sec. So I thought he must have gas. He finally fell asleep for a couple of hours at 5. Then at 7 he woke up again and I moved him to the bed with me, gave him a little more bottle and he THREW up!! All over our pillows and of course himself and me.
All day he has been laying on the couch and sleeping!! He hasn't stayed up for more than an hour at a time today. Even when I moved him to the floor to change his diaper he didn't move one bit. The only time he moved today was when Ryan came home for lunch and he sat up on him and started talking. (He's really starting to become a daddy's boy) Now he has a fever.....so I hope he's not getting worse. And I really hope he sleeps tonight!!

We had a great Christmas this year! It was my family's turn for Christmas and we had a lot of fun with them. Ryan did a great job on my presents this year! He's such a great husband!! Taiton got a lot of new toys and clothes!! Which all were much needed! Ryan's Christmas this year was just ok for him. He really wanted a Xbox 360....but unfortunately he didn't get one. :( He did get a small present from me. And also a lot of non "worldly things" from me. (Ok I am just trying to make myself feel better. I pretty much failed this year)

Gold's Gym

I just started working out at Gold's Gym a couple months ago. And while I am working out Taiton goes to the Kid's Klub at Gold's. He has a lot of fun there, but there is one thing that keeps making me mad. Almost every day this last week they have given him a cookie or cracker. Which is fine with me, but they never wipe him up!!! His face is always covered with dried on cookie. And his clothes always get ruined so I have to change him for a second time when we get home. It's kind of a annoying. ( By the way I lost 3 lbs this week Brittany!)

After we went and visited the grandparents. We went to my brother Sawyer's football game in Idaho Falls. Grandma Celeste and Taters (Sorry this post should have come after the Halloween one but I don't know how to get them in the right order)

Taiton has pretty bad smelling poop now. And finally Ryan was home to change one of them. After 5 min. of complaining and trying to get out of it, he finally went in and changed Taters. Notice Ryan's nose. (What a baby!)

For Halloween we went to both sets of Ryan's grandparents. This is cousin Jaxon, cousin Ashton, and Taiton. Ashton's mask scared Taiton, so Taiton wasn't happy most of the time.

It's ski swap season again. So Ryan has been leaving every few weekends and while he is gone Taiton and I have been going to Twin Falls to be with my family. He loved starring outside at our dog cocoa.

He loves the stairs at my parent's house. He could climb all day. He hasn't figured out how to get back down though.

I put Taiton's legs in one hole! On accident! It was so funny though. I didn't even realize it for a long time. Finally when I helped him get off the couch, he fell on his bum, then it looked like it was really hard for him to get up, and then I realized....

I thought this was cute because I remember taking the same picture of my little brother when he was a baby.

Every once in a while I think it's funny to bring Taiton out naked and Ryan and I laugh at him. This time I brought him out with some moccusins on, and apparently he wanted to pose for me. He turned around and grabbed his butt cheek.

Ryan thought this was funny. Taiton was cuddling up on me and teasing his dad, acting like he was shy.
You can see a little bit of what the fall down the stairs did to Taiton.

Let me just start off by saying I am such a bad mom!!! On Saturday Ryan went fishing with his dad and brother. When he got home I ran out to say hi and help him carry stuff in. Taiton was standing against the couch like always and not even thinking I went outside and left the door wide open! And all of a sudden Ryan and I hear a big bang and Taiton screaming! I turned around to see what was happening, and he was rolling down our metal/cement stairs!!!! He ended up falling down 4 stairs!! He banged his head and face pretty good, but when I picked him up it didn't take him long to stop crying. But I still felt so HORRIBLE! I was shaking for at least 5 min. after. I can't even explain how bad I felt!! Hopefully I will never do anything like that again.

Poor little boy!!!

Taiton is teething! He has been teething for a few days now, but yesterday it took a turn for the worse. He now has a fever and his eyes are swollen, red and watery. His nose is running and he can't breathe very well. I feel so bad for him. You just look at him and you can tell he is so uncomfortable. He has even been skipping meals and eating less. I feel so bad, but hopefully the tooth or teeth will break through SOON!!!

What has Taiton been up to?

Last night I put Taiton to sleep, and he started screaming. So I went in to see if he had lost his pacifier, and this is what i saw!!!! He was standing up!!! It freaked me out! SO I guess now we will have to lower his crib.

So this is what Taiton does all day long. He walks around our furniture. He is even getting daring enough to go from the couch to the chair. He can barely reach out and touch the chair, but as long as he "thinks" he is getting help by holding on to it he will walk over. So I am thinking he might start walking soon. But I don't know, because he won't walk if he isn't holding on to something. So I guess we will see.
Since Taiton just figured out how to pull himself up on things he is getting better about crawling around for awhile and then coming back up to the couch. Instead of just walking around the couch all day.

Isn't this so cute! Taiton has to have any food and any drink we put on the coffee table.

It's just so cute because it's so much bigger than him.

I was trying to make Taiton stay up for 3 hours before he took his nap. I went to my bedroom to clean it, and when I came out he had fallen asleep. It was so cute, he has never fallen asleep like this before.

Happy Birthday Ryan! He turned 26 today!! I would say he had a pretty good day. I gave him a new driver! And he even got to go try it out and play a round of golf today. Then later we had a little get together with friends and celebrated his wonderful birth.

Our Day of Fun

Ryan is such a good husband, and father. He had the day off and took his little family to Idaho Falls to have some fun. First we went to the zoo, did a little shopping, went to my most FAVORITE restaurant Chilli's, and then we went to Blackfoot and golfed. It was a very adventuras day. Taiton did so good golfing. He sat in his car seat the whole time. He would always try to grab the steering wheel. It was cute.

Taiton really had no idea what was going on when we were at the zoo.

He may look scared but he's not, he has this new weird face he does.

For the 4th of July we went to Twin Falls to spend time with my family. One of the activities we did was ice blocking. It was really fun. Down by the Shoshone Falls there is a pretty steep hill. The kids had lots of fun, and even us girls got into it! It was a good time, the only bad thing about it was we got lots of grass stains! In the last picture on here my brothers tried to all pile up on Ryan and go down the hill, and my mom was trying to push them off. Of course that did not work.

Ok, I am taking Taiton's 6 month pictures, and I have two here and I am trying to decide if I want either one of these pictures. Or I might take him to a park and do an outside shot. But please tell me if any of you guys like either one of these pics for his photo I will be framing.

Camping at Heise

This weekend we went to Heise with Ryan's family. It was Taiton's first time camping. If you have never been to Heise it's pretty nice. All the campground is grass, so it's totally my kind of camping. Especially since we have a tent! And then they have a cold pool with a big slide and a diving board. Next store they have a mineral pool which is warm, and a really hot soak pool. On top of that they have a 9 hole golf course and it's right by the snake river which is great if you want to fish.

Taiton loved the pool, he was splashing and kicking his legs like crazy! I was kind of a bad mom this weekend. I tried the technique of blowing in his face and dunking him. And the first time I completely messed up. I blew in his face and waited a second, then dunked him. Which right when you stop blowing he takes a breath, so I ended up dunking him while he was taking a breath!!! He came up coughing and choking! I felt so bad!!! But we tried again and got it right and it didn't traumatize him or anything.

Taiton always starts laying on top of the blanket, then some how he gets it on top of him and pulls it over his head then brings it down and keeps repeating that. But some times he gets tangled in it and can't get out! (I hate when he does that, it scares me!)

Yes! It's true, we finally have a blog. Everyone was telling me it's the cool and up to times thing to do. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Then I saw my sister-in-law's new blog. And I thought....hmm, I can do this. I am just excited because I can put videos of Taiton on here, so you can all see how cute he is!
